Instructors may be approved for one or more subjects

      • Anatomy & Physiology
      • AJJF & DZRSI History
      • Standards of Practice
      • DZRRT Applications
      • Asian Medicine and DZRRT

Requirements to Become an Instructor

  • Current registration in the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation
  • Current AJJF Background Screen
  • Successful completion of the Program for which they will be instructing
  • Attend additional programs in the subject as Assistant Instructor
    • The number will be determined by the level of competence demonstrated in the subject
  • Must be approved as an Instructor in each subject by the DZRSI Standards Committee
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all the course work in the DZRRT Student Handbook in the subject for which one has applied
  • Ability to teach a class without supervision in person or  remotely with a live or recorded video conference
  • Can correctly answer questions about the specific subject
  • Approved Instructors will receive a certificate from the DZRSI Standards Committee in subject(s) for which they are approved

Responsibilities to Become an Instructor

  • May teach in any DZRSI Program at that Program Director’s discretion, including In-Person and remote sessions
  • Assist in ongoing maintenance of the DZRRT Student Handbook
  • Supervise make up hours students may have missed in the subject
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Instructors and Aides
  • May be asked to teach at the National Convention
